This page gathers the questions that come up most often from Practice Managers, Heads of Product and buyers when Scope goes through evaluation. Reasoned answers, no slogans.
The Solo plan is €29 per user per month (ex. VAT) — €24 on annual billing, i.e. €288 per year ex. VAT. The Team plan is €79 per contributor seat per month ex. VAT (€65 on annual billing, i.e. €780 per seat per year, 3-seat minimum). The Business plan is €149 per seat per month ex. VAT (€125 on annual billing, i.e. €1,500 per seat per year, 5-seat minimum). For comparison, having a senior consultant produce a scoping note costs between €5,000 and €15,000 in internal cost (2 to 3 weeks × €700–€900 day rate + reviews). Across 10 proposals per year, the subscription is amply paid back from the first proposal.
No hidden cost: unlimited exports, AI models included, French support, EU hosting. No additional billing per proposal or per export. Viewers (colleagues who consult or comment) are free and unlimited on Team and Business.
ChatGPT alone cannot: apply your day-rate matrix per profile, generate a RACI consistent with French consultancy conventions, produce a work-package estimate with calibrated confidence intervals, export a signable proposal as DOCX or PDF in your visual identity, or maintain a defensible audit log.
More importantly, using ChatGPT Free or Plus to handle client data creates a documented GDPR risk: transfer outside the EU, prompt retention for training (unless an explicit opt-out), no enforceable DPA. The CNIL (French data protection authority) has published several recommendations along these lines in its practical sheets on generative AI.
Founder-led estimate based on 6 months of solo build: building a Scope equivalent in-house takes on the order of 6 months of development by a 2-engineer full-time team, i.e. roughly €50,000 in direct cost, before maintenance. On top of that come AI expertise (prompt engineering, eval, multi-model orchestration), compliance (DPA, audit logs, GDPR), and the product iterations you will discover along the way.
Pragmatic recommendation: start with Scope for 6 months to measure the actual value. If usage is heavy and strategic, you will have the figures in hand to justify an in-house build. In the vast majority of cases, the subscription stays 5 to 10 times cheaper than a maintained build — including the maintenance cost most teams forget about in year one.
Application hosting in the European Union — Supabase for Postgres, authentication and object storage (eu-west-1, Dublin); Railway for Next.js execution on a persistent container (EU West region). Cloudflare CDN Edge POP for static delivery. No application data leaves the European Union. AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is available for all users through Supabase Auth (TOTP, magic link) and can be enabled from the Settings page. Automatic MFA enforcement for administrator accounts on Business and Enterprise plans is on the roadmap (Wave D+2); in the meantime, MFA can be activated manually by each user from their settings. Google and Microsoft Entra ID SSO is included from the Team plan via Supabase Auth, with no extra configuration. Generic SAML 2.0 SSO (Okta, Ping, ADFS) and SCIM 2.0 provisioning are in private pilot on Business and Enterprise plans: activation on request with dedicated onboarding, contact sales@getscope.dev. Immutable audit logs: 90 days on Solo, 12 months on Team and Business (detailed on Business), 24-month SIEM-ready retention on Enterprise.
The OpenRouter contract contractually relays the `data_collection=deny` directive to the LLM providers actually used by Scope (OpenAI GPT-4o and GPT-4o mini, Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Haiku 4.5): your prompts can neither be logged nor used for training. These providers operate from the United States; transfers are governed by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission. An Enterprise EU-resident routing option (Bedrock eu-west-3 for Claude, Mistral Large in Paris) is under internal validation. Standard DPA signable self-service, dedicated DPA on Enterprise. Full detail on the Security page.
Modeled estimate based on internal IT services firm costs observed in 2026 (not yet measured with a Scope customer): for a senior consultant on a €800 day rate, a proposal produced the old way mobilizes about 12 person-days spread over 3 weeks, i.e. ~€9,600 in internal cost. With Scope, the same deliverable is produced in half a day of effective work (~0.5 person-day), i.e. ~€400 in internal cost.
Modeled estimate based on internal IT services firm costs observed in 2026 (not yet measured with a Scope customer): roughly €9,000 saved per proposal. Across 10 proposals per year, the gap (€90,000) far exceeds the cost of a Solo subscription (€24 × 12 = €288 per user per year ex. VAT on annual billing, or €348 monthly). Even on a Team contributor rollout (€65 × 12 = €780 per seat per year ex. VAT on annual billing), payback lands on the first proposal produced. Expected secondary benefit (documented in pre-sales literature): a 5× shorter response time also lifts the win rate.
Scope is built around product-led growth: no mandatory training, no paid onboarding. Interface in formal French (vouvoiement), terminology of French consultancy pre-sales (work packages, person-days, day rate, RACI). A consultant produces their first proposal in half a day the first time, then in one to two hours after two or three uses.
For Team, Business and Enterprise rollouts, a 30-minute onboarding workshop is offered on demand, over video, to configure the day-rate matrix and import your internal templates. Beyond that, the team is autonomous. Enterprise plans also benefit from founder-led onboarding across the contract term.
On the public 2026 roadmap: Salesforce connector (opportunity ↔ Scope proposal sync) in Q2, Jira and Linear (automatic epic creation from estimating work packages) in Q3. Enterprise plans get early access to betas and a documented REST API for custom integrations.
Outbound webhooks available today (events: proposal created, proposal signed, scoping validated). Track updates on our public changelog.
All listed prices are excl. tax. French VAT (20%) applies to customers billed in France; EU B2B customers with an intra-EU VAT number are billed under reverse charge. Payment by card (Stripe), SEPA direct debit, or wire transfer against a purchase order for annual plans.
